NAB: Lending Summary Report Digitisation

Product DesignInformation Design

What is it?

A tool that gives bankers a consolidated view of a customer’s lending information, used to understand facilities, exposure and key lending data. It’s an important part of credit and relationship management activities.

Challenge

The experience was only available as a static PDF. Bankers needed a way to quickly find relevant information, compare data and identify changes without manually reviewing large reports, while some bankers still needed a clean printable version to bring to customer meetings.

My Role

Lead Product Designer responsible for redesigning the experience and transitioning it from a static report into a digital-first product experience.

Approach

  • Conducted banker research and usability testing
  • Designed interactive filtering and information management patterns
  • Created cross-table filtering functionality
  • Led accessibility reviews and remediation activities
  • Worked closely with technology teams to balance user value and feasibility

Outcomes

  • Shifted the experience from passive report consumption to active data exploration
  • Improved discoverability of key lending information
  • Established accessibility-compliant design patterns
  • Introduced a new cross-filtering table which sped up banker workflow
  • Allowed PDF report generation to show filtered view
  • Pills marking recent changes to summary to easily scan for bankers

Impact Metrics
