Personal project: AI exploration + product design
Challenge
I built this to get hands-on with AI-assisted development and see how far prompting alone could take a real product build.
The app is a content strategy tool for creators. The design problem I wanted to solve was personalisation. Most AI content tools spit out the same generic hooks for everyone. So I designed Amber Core: a place where a creator does their full lore drop. Your backstory, your audience, your voice, your weird quirks, your monetisation goals. The app holds all of that and uses it as a reference point every time it generates content, so nothing it produces could belong to anyone else.
My Role
Designed and vibe-coded using Lovable, with a Supabase backend and the repo on GitHub.
I owned all the UX and shaped the product through prompting rather than writing code directly.
Approach
From your saved ideas you can generate a hook, script, and shot plan at your chosen video length. Once posted, mark it off in your library and run the video through the analyser for retention feedback.
The focus was UX and product thinking: structuring complex, overlapping information in a way that felt intuitive to move through rather than overwhelming.
Example screens
Screenshots from the live app. The focus was on UX and product design: building clean, usable flows. The UI is intentionally simple.
What I built
- 01A working content creation tool shipped in a weekend using AI vibe coding
- 02Amber Core brand brain: single reference for tone, niche, audience and origin story for personalised content generation
- 03Ideas Library with 36+ ideas, add/save/mark-as-posted tracking
- 04Script Generator producing hook, script and shot plan from a saved idea
- 05Brainstorm tab for finding formats that fit your niche and style
- 06Video Analyse tab to review what worked in past content
What I learned
- You can ship a working product fast when you are clear on the flows before you start prompting
- Prompting for product decisions is different from prompting for UI output: structure the thinking first, then build
- Amber Core as a brand brain concept works: a single reference point for tone and niche makes generated content feel personal
- The Ideas Library solves a real problem: creators have ideas scattered everywhere with no system for tracking what is live
- A tool you build yourself is one you actually use
- Positioned the team to take advantage of emerging AI-enabled workflows
What I took from it
Vibe coding is a genuinely interesting way to prototype fast, but it pushed me to get much more precise about what I actually wanted before I built it. You can’t be vague with a product idea and expect good results. Clear product thinking still has to come first.
